Telangana TDP leader and MLA A Revanth Reddy on Sunday described the removal of Dr T Rajaiah from the State cabinet as an eyewash, and said that he was made a scapegoat by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Speaking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Revanth Reddy said that no minister in KCR's cabinet had any powers. All are ministers were only figureheads, and they just followed the directions of KCR, his son K Tarakarama Rao, nephew T Harish Rao and daughter K Kavitha. He alleged that no minister was allowed to work independently, and that therefore, Rajaiah's outster was primarily an ackowledgement of the failures of KCR himself.
Reddy condemned the way Rajaiah was sacked, and alleged that it showed the dictatorial attitude of KCR. He said if KCR was really interested in public health, then he would have conducted a review on the swine flu situation about a month ago.
Reddy said that Rajaiah was sacked from the cabinet only to put pressure on the other ministers and convey a strong message that they would meet the same fate if they refused to follow the dictates of KCR's family. (INN)
