Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy today slammed TPCC chief Revanth Reddy and alleged that investors from Seemandhra were behind the State Congress chief.
He also alleged that TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu was also behind Revanth Reddy, asking why the latter had joined the Congress when his leader Chandrababu Naidu was facing problems.
He also said that the Congress had died in the State after entering into an alliance with the TDP.
Targeting TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud for giving a call to burn his effigies, Rajagopal Reddy asked Goud what he was doing when 12 MLAs of the party abandoned it to join the TRS.
He also asked Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka what they did when the 12 MLAs left the party.
Rajagopal Reddy alleged that Revanth Reddy was collecting thousands of crores using the name of the Congress and using RTI as a weapon, and that he would destroy the Congress. Pointing out that the Congress had won 19 and 21 MLA seats under the leaderships of former PCC chiefs Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Uttam Kumar Reddy respectively, Rajagopal Reddy predicted that only nine MLAs would win in the next Assembly elections under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, and that the Congress would secure the fourth position.
Alleging that Revanth Reddy had played with his image, he dared the former to prove his allegations that he had quit the Congress to protect his company contracts, and, claiming that he was ready to quit politics if the allegations were proved, asked the former if he would quit from the TPCC chief's post if he failed to prove his allegations.
Rajagopal Reddy however made it clear he would never criticize Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi.
Rajagopal Reddy exuded confidence that he would win the Munugodu seat once again, and claimed that the verdict of the people of the constituency would usher in a change in the State.
