In view of the extension of the Parliament session, AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's tour of Telangana has been postponed.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy informed that instead of on 11th and 12th May, Rahul Gandhi will now conduct the Rythu Bharosa Padayatra on 14th and 15th May.
Except for the dates, there will be no change in the programme schedule, he said.
"Rahul Gandhi's presence in the Parliament is required in view of the debate on the Land Acquisition Bill in the house. Therefore, his office has intimated us about the postponement of his tour to 14th and 15th May," Reddy said.
Meanwhile, accompanied by the Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other leaders, Reddy on Friday visited the Nizamabad and Adilabad districts to review the arrangements for Gandhi's visit. (INN)
