Rachakonda Commissioner Gets Covid-19 Vaccination

Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Bhagwat today inaugurated the Covid-19 vaccination drive for the Rachakonda Police at the Malkajgiri PHC.

He was also the first to get vaccinated at the centre.

Speaking to the media, he stated that the police personnel of the Rachakonda commissionerate had been sent to receive the vaccine at centres in the Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy, Yadadri-Bhongir and Hyderabad districts, which had been identified by the concerned DMHOs in their respective districts.

"While there are 48 vaccination centres under Rachakonda so far, the vaccination drive was started in 30 centres today, and the residents of the region will be vaccinated within the next four working days. Each of the centres has a liaison officer who will coordinate the drive. A WhatsApp group has also been created for each district which includes the concerned medical personnel and police officers. Additional DCP (Administration) K Shilpavalli is the unit nodal officer who will be coordinating and supervising the vaccination of all the Rachakonda police personnel," Bhagwat added.

Having taken the vaccine himself, Bhagwat then urged everyone in the state to take the shot as well without any fear, asked those with co-morbidities to seek medical advice before doing so.

He appreciated the arrangements made at the PHC and instructed the concerned SHOs to ensure that all the vaccinated persons be given a snack/fruit and ORS at the PHC itself.

Mallikarjun,the DMHO of Medchal-Malkajgiri, stated that nearly 1,500 frontline officers were being vaccinated in the centres located in the district, and that in case of any medical emergency post-vaccination, the medical team and ambulance available at each centres would take immediate steps to shift the affected persons to a hospital for further medical care.

Additional DCP K Shilpavalli, ACP Kushaiguda Shivkumar, Neredmet and Malkajgiri SHOs, Deputy DMHO K Anand and Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Reddi Kumari were among those present at the PHC for the drive.
