City Police Commissioner (In-Charge) S A Huda on Friday imposed certain prohibitory orders in the limits of Hyderabad city.
All kinds of public meetings and processions within the Hyderabad city, without prior permission of the Zonal Dy. Commissioners of Police (Law and Order concerned), Addl. Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) or Jt. Commissioner of Police (Co-ordination and Security) or Commissioner of Police have been prohibited.
Carrying of arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags bludgeons, guns, explosives, and other offensive weapons, too, has been prohibited.
The in-charge Commissioner has also prohibited the gathering of persons on public roads or public places, disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to the public. The collection or carrying of stones or other means of casting missiles has been prohibited as well.
The city police have also prohibited the use of mikes / public address systems at different Secretariat premises, including the Burgula Rama Krishna Rao Building, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Building, the Commissioner of Fisheries building, Mint Compound, Nizam College and its surroundings, A P Legislative Assembly, and surrounding roads, Public Garden Nampally, Upper Tankbund, I-MAX, Rotary and NTR Marg roads, as also the fly-over leading from Secretariat to Visweswarayya Statue, Khairatabad.
Music, singing, speeches or broadcasting through loud speakers in the above-mentioned areas has been banned.
The prohibitory orders will remain in force with effect from 6 am on Saturday, May 24, to 6 am on May 31. (INN)
