Babri Anniversary: Prohibitory Orders In Hyderabad
Prohibited orders under Section 144 CrPC have been promulgated banning processions, dharnas, rallies (including motor cycle rallies) and public meetings.

Following information that certain groups were trying to create disturbances in Hyderabad by inciting animosity between different communities in connection with the anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya on December 6, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy has promulgated prohibited orders under Section 144 CrPC banning processions, dharnas, rallies (including motor cycle rallies) and public meetings.
He also prohibited any individual/groups of individuals from making any speeches or gestures, or displaying pictures, symbols, placards, flags etc. likely to create religious animosity or hatred between different communities or individuals, or to cause disturbances to the public peace and order in the limits of Hyderabad, except those expressly permitted by the police.
The city police chief cautioned the public that any persons violating the ban orders would be liable for prosecution under the law.
However, police officers and personnel on duty, military personnel, home guards and bonafide funeral processions are exempt from the order.
The order will be in force from 6 am on December 5 to 6 am on December 7.
