Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Thursday demanded that the government initiate action against Telangana Joint Action Committee convenor Prof. Kodandaram for provoking students in the name of Telangana and agitating against the government.
Talking to media persons, the MP alleged that Kodandaram, who he said has been getting salary from the government, was acting against university rules and provoking students in the name of Telangana and creating law-and-order problems in the varsity.
The MP advised the government to initiate action on students for participating in different agitations while putting their studies aside.
"Seemandhra people, too, have emotions and sentiments, and not just Telangana people," he said.
Reacting to the issue of replacing chief minister K Rosaiah, the MP said there was no need to change the CM in the state.
"Rosaiah has a lot of experience and administrative skills. We must use his services properly and give him a free hand to act on issues seriously," he pointed out.
