Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president K Chiranjeevi on Monday convened an emergency meeting with his MLAs and senior party leaders at party office in Jubilee hills to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the event of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy seeking PRP's support.
According to sources, the Chief Minister had invited the PRP chief to meet him at his office in the evening to discuss the government formation.
The PRP leader convened the meeting to elicit the views of his party MLAs in extending support to the Kiran Reddy government. PRP sources say that the meeting also discussed the pros and cons of the PRP joining the government.
The meeting also discussed whether to ask for specific ministerial berths if the decision to join the government was finalized.
The sources add that the PRP leadership was going to seek the Deputy Chief Minister's post and 5 ministerial berths if the PRP joined the Kiran Reddy government.
Party senior leaders C Ramachandraiah, Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, B Veda Vyas, Gowtam and Vasireddy Padmavathi were present.
