Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Monday accused TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao of being too arrogant.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala condemned a recent statement of KCR wherein he reportedly stated that it would take one thousand lifetimes for Ponnala to become like him.
Reacting to the comments, Ponnala said that he would never emulate KCR, who become notorious for cheating and deceiving people, including his close associates.
He alleged that KCR did not even do justice with his own partymen. He said it would be a matter of shame if anyone compared him to KCR.
Ponnala said that being a representative of the Congress, he aspired only to serve the people, and had no plans to emulate KCR anytime in the future.
Earlier, Ponnala paid tributes to Dr. B R Ambedkar by garlanding his portrait on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He exhorted the youth to follow the ideas of Dr. Ambedkar.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President Dr. N Raghuveera Reddy too garlanded Dr. Ambedkar's portrait at an event held at Indira Bhavan. (INN)
