Former BRS MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy today came down heavily on his former party and claimed that he had faced a lot of insults at the hands of the ruling party's leaders ever since he had been given the MP ticket.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao just made tall promises, and was living in an ivory tower believing that the people of the State would vote him into a third consecutive term by believing his promises. He said that he for one would not let the ruling party win even a single Assembly seat in the undivided Khammam district in the next Assembly elections.
He asserted that those were not mere words, and that he would show his might in practical terms as well.
Referring to the news reports that he would be joining Y S Sharmila's YSR Telangana Party, Reddy said that there was no truth in those reports, and that he would not slit his own throat by joining Sharmila's party. He said that he would join a party which would fulfil his goal of defeating the BRS.
Reports are rife that Reddy would join the BJP in the days to come.
