Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed utter shock, anguish and grief over the unfortunate death of former Union Minister and Telugu Desam Party senior leader Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu in a road accident at early hours on Friday at Ranasthalam of Srikakulam District.
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew to accord police honours for the funeral of late Yerran Naidu. He said that in the death of Yerran Naidu, the State lost a senior political leader. "He was a close personal friend to me. I worked with him closely in the task of delimitation of Assembly Constituencies," he said in a special message.
The Chief Minister said Yerran Naidu was an able Parliamentarian and worked hard for the upliftment of weaker sections and downtrodden. He said that Yerran Naidu had an in depth knowledge of any issue he dealt with.
The Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. (INN)
