Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to give special importance and recognition to Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu was present at the foundation-laying ceremony for the upcoming Agriculture University at Lam farm in Guntur.
He said that the Centre's cooperation was necessary for the development of any State.
He also said that the construction of another bridge near the Durga temple in Vijayawada would start soon.
Calling upon all people to cooperate in making Andhra Pradesh one of the top States in the country, Naidu assured AP that the Centre would extend all possible help in developing the new capital city Amaravathi.
He strongly refuted the Opposition's allegation that there was an increase of intolerance in the country.
This allegation was being spread by those who did not want Modi as the Prime Minister, he charged. Modi would, however, continue as Prime Minister till 2024, he asserted.
