A speeding car ran over a 55-year-old man who was crossing the road, under Cyberabad Commissionerate limits, late on Friday night.
According to the police, the victim was identified as Y Kistaiah, a resident of Ghatkesar.
On Friday, Kistaiah, along with his friend Nagabushanam, was crossing the road at Vaibhav Colony in Ghatkesar, when an unidentified car hit him, leaving him dead on the spot.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital in LB Nagar, where he was declared brought dead.
Police have registered a case, and further investigations are on.
