The parents of the conjoined twins Veena and Vani have given a letter seeking surgery on them to separate them.
The parents revealed that they had given the letter leaving things to God.
The parents on Tuesday had a meeting with the Niloufer Hospital doctors and urged them to conduct the surgery on their daughters. The doctors will forward the consent letter given by the parents to the government - the government will need to respond on the letter.
Speaking on the occasion, the parents said that the doctors were saying that one of the two kids would be in danger if a surgery were to be performed, but that they (the parents) were putting the burden on God.
Meanwhile, the Niloufer doctors said that they would not continue their services to the conjoined twins further, and were pondering shifting them to a State Home. The doctors also said that Veena and Vaani had their own interests now, and were losing their freedom due to the conjoining.
