Over One Lakh Farmers To Unite At Mahabubnagar Rythu Sadassu

The Telangana government today directed officials and elected representatives to work in coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the Farmers' Conference (Rythu Sadassu) scheduled to be held in Mahbubnagar from November 28 to 30.
A high-level review meeting on the event's arrangements was held at the Secretariat, chaired by Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Health Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha. The meeting was attended by Telangana State Planning Board Vice Chairman Dr Chinna Reddy, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Commission Chairman M Kodanda Reddy, and senior officials including Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, DGP Jitender, and the relevant district Collectors, SPs, MLAs and MLCs.
Tummala will inaugurate the proceedings on November 28. Farmers from the undivided Mahbubnagar district will participate on the opening day. Farmers from other districts will join on November 29, and on the final day, November 30, over one lakh farmers from across the State will congregate. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will preside over the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
The conference will include discussions on modern farming techniques, loan waivers and government schemes. Model farmers will share their success stories, and video presentations will showcase agricultural innovations. Exhibition stalls will feature advanced farming machinery, hybrid seeds and information on State-supported schemes.
The ministers present said that the event was an opportunity to showcase the government's significant investments in agriculture that benefited 20,000 to 30,000 farmers in each constituency through initiatives such as loan waivers. Along with other elected representatives including MLAs and MLCs, and senior officials, they pledged to ensure the festival's success and establish it as a model for agricultural events in the State.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari asked officials to ensure smooth logistics, including traffic management and parking, and undertake public awareness campaigns. The Agriculture Department has been instructed to livestream the event across 560 Rythu Vedikas in the State.
