Over 70 Seemandhra MLAs To Visit Delhi
Sources say that the responsibility of fixing an appointment for Seemandhra leaders with the top brass has been assigned to Central Ministers and MPs from the Seemandhra region.
At least 70 Congress legislators from the Seemandhra region will visit New Delhi on 21 January to pressurise the High Command against taking a decision in favour of Telangana.
According to sources, four ministers - Ganta Srinivas, Kondru Murali Mohan, Erasu Pratap and S Sailajanath had a "secret" meeting at Ganta's residence at Ministers' Quarters on Saturday. They reportedly discussed the strategy to be adopted to stall the possible formation of Telangana by pressurising the High Command. Instead of bifurcation, the Seemandhra leaders are likey to press for some special package for Telangana region.
