With the departure of 450 Haj pilgrims by the 23rd special Haj chartered flight from the Hyderabad "embarkation point", the total number of pilgrims who left for the sacred land has reached 7,192.
Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri and chairman of the Gujarat State Haj Committee Sufi Mahboob Chisti flagged off Haj pilgrims from the Haj Camp at Nampally this morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Pasha Quadri congratulated the pilgrims on their Haj pilgrimage, and wished them a successful and safe journey. He requested the pilgrims to pray for the peace, progress and prosperity of the nation, the state and the people.
Special officer of the AP State Haj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor, and executive officer Abdul Hameed, were also present. One more flight with a capacity of 300 pilgrims will leave for Jeddah on Tuesday. (INN)
