As many as 34,653 candidates abstained from the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations held in two sessions across Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
Of 3,28,242 candidates in the General category and 29,059 in the Vocational category, 27,282, or nearly 7.64% candidates, bunked the morning session for English Paper - I.
Similarly, of 60,169 candidates in General and 14,597 in Vocational, 7,371, or nearly 9.86% candidates, abstained from the English Paper - II exam in the afternoon.
While six cases of malpractice were booked in the morning session, 10 cases were booked in the afternoon session. The Board Of Intermediate Education sent observers to Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy. The examinations were conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the Board said. (INN)
