A number of students stay away from the morning session and the afternoon session of the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary exams on day 2.
As many as 45,642 candidates abstained from the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations held in two sessions across the state on Friday.
Of the 4,80,242 candidates in the General category, and 14,785 candidates in the Vocational category, 34,124, or nearly 6.89% of the total number of candidates, abstained from the morning session of exams for Mathematics, Botany, Civics and Psychology Paper - I.
Similarly, of the 1,12,806 candidates in the General category, and 5,965 in the Vocational category, 11,518, or nearly 9.70% of the candidates, abstained from the afternoon exam session for Mathematics, Botany, Civics and Psychology Paper - II.
While 24 cases of malpractice were booked in the morning session, 22 cases were booked in the afternoon session.
The Board of Intermediate Education sent observers to Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasham, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts. The examinations were conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the Board said. (INN)
