The Department of Mathematics, Osmania University, recently organized a six-weeks course in .Net software technology. The course is designed to be taught between the last week of May, 2013 and the second week of July, 2013.
Speaking at the valedictory function organized in the university yesterday, OU's VC Prof. Satyanarayana said that the need of the hour is to organize a good number of add-on courses that help the students to get employment quickly.
He suggested that all the departments of OU should explore the possibilities of organizing as many add-on courses as are possible. Prof. Satyanarayana promised that they will receive the university's full support.
Prof. Satyanarayana congratulated students on having improved their skills related to this new .Net software technology which is popular in the current market.
Later, the VC gave away certificates to the students who had successfully completed the .Net course. As part of the course, training was imparted to about 26 students.
Prof. Ramana Murthy, the course co-ordinator, remarked that .Net is the new subject that has been introduced in the B.E, M.Sc(CS), and M.Tech(CS) courses as part of the curriculum. He said that students from these disciplines are required to be aware of .Net technology. (INN)
