The
lathicharge incident at OU is still raking up political dirt. The Andhra Pradesh government has now filed appeal in the Supreme Court, challenging the High Court's verdict on the use of force by police on students and journalists.
The Supreme Court has now said that the presence of paramilitary forces on campus was distressing, and that the state government must give an explanation for the same by tomorrow. The hearing has been adjourned for tomorrow.
TRS leader T Harish Rao has said that the CM and the home minister accept moral responsibility for the episode and resign from their posts.
