Former Minister and MLA D L Ravindra Reddy on Wednesday hoped that the State government would order a Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) probe into the dubious land dealings between Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and Emaar Properties, as corruption charges had been leveled at very prominent people over the dealings.
Talking to media persons, Ravindra said that the Chief Minister K Rosaiah was making efforts to order probe as opposition parties leveled charges on the murky land dealings.
Reddy said that the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had assured to conduct CBI probe if State government sought it.
The MLA said that he would file a writ petition in the High Court if the government failed to order a CBI probe within the next 40 days.
