Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today ridiculed the Opposition Parties saying that they were contesting the MLC elections merely to protect the identity of their Parties.
Along with other TRS leaders and activists, the minister accompanied the Party's candidate Bhupal Reddy as the latter went to file his nomination for the election.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Harish Rao said that the Opposition Parties were fielding their candidates in the MLC poll fray only to mark their existence.
Despite losing the people's faith, the Opposition Parties still entered the poll fray, he ridiculed.
He claimed that the ruling Party will bag all the 12 seats. The Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders stood no chance in the polls, he said.
Rao also claimed that the people had faith in the ruling Party for its several welfare schemes and development programs.
Telangana Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy, too, said the TRS candidates would win all the 12 MLC seats in the elections to be held on December 27.
Talking to mediapersons after the TRS candidate T Chinnappa Reddy filed his nomination in the Nalgonda district, the minister said that the latter would win by a handsome majority.
The Opposition leaders contesting the elections would not win as the people had faith in the ruling Party, he, too, stated.
He also claimed that leaders from various other political parties were coming forward voluntarily to support the TRS candidate in the fray.
