Amos Hails Congress-PRP Alliance

Congress leader K R Amos said that party members who were opposed to the proposed Congress-PRP Alliance could resign.
Hyderabad | 1st February 2011
Senior Congress leader from Telangana K R Amos on Tuesday hailed the proposed Congress party alliance with Praja Rajyam Party.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, the Telangana leader said that the Congress would strengthen its base in the Telangana and Seemandhra regions if PRP merged with the Congress party.

Reacting to some section of Congress leaders opposing the alliance with the PRP, Amos said that the leaders who did not want to tie up with Chiranjeevi could resign from their posts.

He also stated that the PRP leader was eagerly waiting for an alliance with Congress party.

Condemning the attitude of Director General Of Police K Aravinda Rao, he said the DGP was acting like a political leader and trying to suppress the Telangana agitation with force. Amos charged that the DGP was diverting the attention of government by giving false reports on Telangana.

The senior leader stated that no one could stop the Telangana agitation until the formation of a separate state, especially since the Telangana leaders were ready to sacrifice anything for its sake.

Amos demanded that the centre introduced a Telangana bill in the budget session of the Parliament.
