Civil Aviation minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal president Ajit Singh has reportedly said that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance cannot make the collective dream of a separate Telangana state come real.
While stating that the formation of Telangana was inevitable, irrespective of which party comes to power, Ajit Singh said that only the United Progressive Alliance could make a separate Telangana state a palpable reality, as a majority of its (UPA's) constituents are in favour of the demand. However, he said that a perceptible lack of coordination was delaying the decision-making process on the statehood issue.
Ajit Singh also assured that he would meet UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi after returning to the national capital. (INN)
