Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the latest version of the Telangana emblem at his residence today.
Noted artist Rudra Rajesam, minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, MLC M Kodandaram, Congress leader Addanki Dayakar, JAC leader Raghu, CM's advisor Vem Narender Reddy, some MLAs and others were present.
The new State emblem is being designed to reflect the Telangana struggle and sacrifices. The emblem will not include the Kakatiya Thoranam, but will symbolise the Sammakka-Sarakka and Nagoba jataras.
The Chief Minister had said that the Kakatiya Thoranam would no longer be part of the new official emblem as it was a symbol of anarchy.
The CM also separately reviewed the composition of the revamped Telangana anthem with poet Ande Sri and music director Keeravani at his residence, along with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.
Former minister Sudarshan Reddy, M Kodandaram, Raghu, Vem Narender Reddy, MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Congress leaders Ramchandru Nayak and Gandra Satyanarayana, Sampath, Balaram Nayak and others attended the meeting.
Music director M M Keeravani presented the final version to the Chief Minister and the other guests. It is being reported that the CM and other leaders expressed their satisfaction with the final version.
The new anthem is also designed to honour the sacrifices of those who fought for statehood, and also to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Telangana. The anthem will serve as a tribute to the spirit and resilience of the State's people.
The Chief Minister will unveil this new version of Jaya Jayahe Telangana on the State Formation Day on June 2.
