It has been 14 years since Padmasri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao passed away, and the life that the actor-politician led has repercussions that the state of Andhra Pradesh reverberates with even today.

NTR, as he is fondly called, founded the Telugu Desam Party, and served as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for three terms. Chandrababu Naidu, his son-in-law, heads the party now. NTR’s children and grandchildren have gone on to become prominent personalities in the film world and in national and regional politics as well.

Family members and politicians figures were among those who paid their respects to NTR at NTR Ghat today.
