The state government on Thursday issued a notification for the recruitment of sub-inspectors in the police department.
As many as 1,238 men will be recruited as Sub-Inspectors under Civil posts in the police department; 306 in the Armed Reserved; 10 in the SAR CPL; 406 in the Andhra Pradesh Special Police; 17 in the 15th Battalion of APSP; and 68 men in the Special Protection Force. In addition, 21 men will be recruited as Station Fire Officers in the AP Fire and Emergency Services Department.
As many as 230 women would also be recruited as Sub-Inspectors.
The age criterion is different for different posts, varying from 18 to 21. The candidates must possess degrees as on 1st July, 2011. In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2011, they must have passed Intermediate and should be studying for a degree.
Those who intend to apply for these posts may download the prescribed application form from the recruitment folder of www.apstatepolice.org in, and should submit the duly-filled in application form along with copies of the necessary certificates in any of the 6 centers mentioned in the notification, between November 28, 2011, and January 28, 2012, on any working days, between 10am and 1pm.
