Senior Congress leader and MLC P Venkat Rao said that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been striving hard to provide a better government, but that the government has been facing problems because of the non-cooperation of some leaders of his team.
Talking to media persons in the CLP Office, Venkat Rao admitted that the Congress must sort out its mistakes of the past, else the party and the government would face problems in near future.
Venkat Rao said that despite Kiran Kumar Reddy's efforts to provide better governance, the government has been facing hurdles thanks to certain leaders of his team who are not cooperating.
"The CM alone cannot change the system; his team must also strive hard for a better government. Only then, the party and the government can achieve a good name," he said.
Rao also said that all is not well in the Central cabinet either.
"Because of a lack of co-ordination among ministers, the central government is also in trouble," he said.
He added that All India Congress Committee General Secretary Rahul Gandhi must be inducted in the cabinet to boost the morale of the ministers. He said this would make the Congress stronger at the Centre.
"We cannot work without the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in the coming days", he said. (INN)
