The special court for CBI cases today issued a non-bailable warrant against YSR Congress Party leader Vijaya Sai Reddy, who has just been elected as a Rajya Sabha member.
The court issued the non-bailable warrant his for failing to appear before the court in a disproportionate assets case involving YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
The CBI court also issued a warrant against Jaganmohan Reddy. Later, the case was adjourned to June 10.
The court rejected the plea of Vijay Sai Reddy that he could not attend the court due to illness.
It may be mentioned here that Vijay Sai Reddy was nominated by the YSR Congress Party as a Rajya Sabha member last month, and was declared elected unopposed.
