The CBI Special Court on Thursday issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Y Vijaya Lakshmi Prasad, a former General Manager of APIIC, in connection with the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Lakshmi Prasad, along with former APIIC MD B P Acharya, is accused of signing deals detrimental to the financial health of the APIIC, under the influence of Jaganmohan Reddy.
A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Prasad following his failure to appear in front of the court in the case being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Meanwhile, former minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy and other accused appeared before the CBI Court on Thursday.
The court has adjourned the next hearing in Jagan's DA case, the Emaar scam and the Obulapuram Mining Company's illegal iron ore mining case to October 31. (INN)
