No Report On Shankar Rao Case: CID

Additional DGP (CID) T Krishna Prasad on Wednesday clarified that no report was submitted in the recent episode of the arrest of former minister P Shankar Rao.

In a statement, the Additional DGP said that a certain news channel had falsely quoted him as saying that a report was submitted on the issue of taking Shankar Rao into custody.

"This news is absolutely false, and no report was submitted in this regard," he said, adding that no statement was issued to the media. (INN)
