» No Fireworks Expected In Three-Day Assembly Special Session
Three-Day Session Expected To Go Smoothly
While TDP is expected to blow its trumpet, YSR Congress is bound to speak of YSR's term, and Congress wil stick to its stand of being with the weaker sections.
The three day special session on the SC/ST sub-plan will begin here tomorrow with all the parties joining ranks on the issue, and no fireworks are expected though the Opposition parties may claim that they make better drafts or performance.
On the first day, the bill will be tabled, and discussion will take place on Saturday and Sunday before enacting the legislation to allocate funds for the marginalised sections of the society.
Initially, it was decided that a two-day session will be held, but with the opposition parties insisting on extending the session by two more days, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting had agreed to hold a three day session.
While TDP is expected to blow its trumpet, YSR Congress is bound to speak of YSR's term, and Congress wil stick to its stand of being with the weaker sections. Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, which will be on the other side of the fence this time, is expected to welcome the bill but bring in the minority welfare angle.
This being a special session, the Opposition may not be allowed to raise any issue other than the specified one, though some attempts are likely to be made. It was also agreed in the BAC that the Winter session of the Assembly should be held from December 10 to 21.
The focal point remains to be seen if N Chandrababu Naidu will come back from the Padayatra to attend the session or not. (INN)
