BJP To Hold 3-Day Dharna From Dec 14
BJP to stage a 3-day dharna at Indira Park, from Dec 14 to 16, to pressurize the government to resolve the problems being faced by the weavers in the state.
Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party will stage a 3-day dharna at Indira Park, from Dec 14 to 16, to pressurize the government to resolve the problems being faced by the weavers in the state.
Talking to media persons at the party's headquarters in Nampally, Dattatreya said that national leaders belonging the party would attend the dharna, with BJP president Nitin Gadkari participating in the concluding day function.
Slamming the state government for its total failure in redressing the problems faced by the state's farmers and weavers, Dattatreya alleged that the government was making false claims of providing relief to the affected sections.
The BJP leader also criticized the government for dillydallying on initiating action against the rebel MLAs who voted in favour of the No Confidence Motion moved against Kiran Kumar Reddy's government by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Bandaru also found fault with the Chief Minister for consulting the Congress high command for every minor and major decision to be taken. He noted that the Chief Minister did not raise farmers’ issues during his meetings with the high command.
Bandaru stated that the Congress and the TDP would face tough times if by-elections were held for 24 constituencies in the state. (INN)
