Niranjan Reddy will be the manager of the Indian junior team that will participate in the inaugural edition of the International Sultan Junior Cup hockey championship to be held in Malaysia on 5-12 November.
Niranjan Reddy is general secretary of Hockey Association Of Andhra Pradesh and joint secretary of Hockey India.
India plays its opener against Korea on 5 November. Subsequently, they take on Australia the next day, and play arch-rival Pakistan on 8 November.
Next in line are New Zealand on 9 November and hosts Malaysia on 11 November.
Final and classification matches will be held on 12 November.
3-time Olympian N Mukesh Kumar will be the chief coach, while former Olympians Lazarus Barla and Sandeep Sangvan will be his assistants. (INN)
