Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today said that the state government had approved a new zonal system for the state that would help locals get better access to educational and employment opportunities.
The minister thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for agreeing to introduce the new zonal system, and stated, "The rejigged zoning plan, which comprises seven zones and two multi-zones, has been introduced to enable the people of Telangana realise their dreams and aspirations. Locals can now get jobs without any problems - they can find jobs based on their eligibility and qualifications easily as a result of the decision. They will be able to bag a majority of good government jobs as well. With this mechanism in place, Telangana will be able to provide employment to locals at an unprecedented rate soon. As part of this effort, we have decided to incentivise the hiring of locals by extending some perks to the firms that do so."
"Through the creation of new districts and of special zones to bolster livelihood security and growth, this system will make job hunting a more inclusive and hassle-free process for the people. Already, Narayanapet and Mulugu have been made into districts so that locals could benefit from the administrative changes this involved. Further, the inclusion of Vikarabad district into the Charminar zone will also benefit the people. Such decisions show the commitment of our government towards supporting the aspirations of the people," he explained.
KTR also claimed that the state government had filled over 1.33 lakh vacant government job posts across different departments as it had promised it would, and had stimulated the creation of more than 15 lakh jobs in the private sector with its "business-friendly policies".
He added that local students would also benefit from the move as it would widen their access to educational opportunities and facilities as well.
