The Department of Information Technology of Telangana State is planning to launch the newly developed state portal in a week.
The current portal at www.telangana.gov.in was created as a stop-gap arrangement during the bifurcation of the state, according to ITEC Department Secretary Harpreeth Singh.
The new portal has been designed as per the national and international guidelines for government websites, and has special features so that even differently-abled people can access the content on the site.
The English version of the portal will be launched initially, followed by the Telugu and Urdu versions.
The portal contains exhaustive information about the state's history and culture, and all important statistics. Special sections of the portal are devoted to information about the various flagship programs of the Telangana government like Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid.
Links to all important citizen services and downloadable forms will also be provided.
The portal will contain daily news updates and press releases from the government. There will also be modern photo and video galleries.
The new Telangana portal will also be integrated with the popular social media platforms.
The portal will be launched at a special program in a week. The details will be intimated to the media as soon as the venue and timings are confirmed. (INN)
