Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday stated that the new Cabinet will be sworn in on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister also added that the Deputy Chief Minister will be from Telangana region. Speculation is rife that legislator from Medak constituency Damodar Rajanarsimhan will be named the Deputy Chief Minister.
Talking to media persons after meeting UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Kiran Reddy said that the cabinet had been picked after careful thought so that all the regions in the state are well represented. He described his proposed cabinet as 'well balanced'.
Congress In-Charge for Andhra Pradesh affairs Veerappa Moily was also present during Kiran Reddy's meeting with Sonia Gandhi.
Kiran Reddy said that the government would seek resignation of its Advisors and Chief Secretaries which meant that the entire administration would be revamped.
Brushing aside persistent questions from media persons present, the Chief Minister refused to reveal the names, and the number of ministers in the new cabinet. He also urged scribes not to ask any further question, adding that the suspense would only be lifted on Wednesday when the ministers took the oath of office and secrecy.
