BJLP leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy on Saturday told Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that he would quit politics if it was proved that the crop loan waiver was done 100% in Telangana.
"Let's go to any place, let's have a discussion in the presence of farmers. If the loan waiver is completed, I am ready for anything," Reddy announced.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly Media Hall, the BJP MLA also dared the Chief Minister that if enough farmers said that they have not received any loan waiver, he too should quit politics immediately.
"Is the Chief Minister or any other minister ready for a public discussion in the presence of farmers in any village on the loan waiver scheme? The farmers who have not been given loan waivers are protesting on the roads. But Revanth Reddy is bringing new things to the fore to divert the issue. And the funds meant for the Rythu Bharosa scheme have been diverted to the loan waiver, cheating the farmers for two crops," he claimed.
The BJP MLA also demanded that the State government should say when the money would be given to the farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
