Several leaders of the TRS today slammed former Health Minister Etala Rajender for allegedly grabbing over 100 acres of land in Medak and for then levelling
"false charges" against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The leaders accused Rajender of "spreading falsehoods" about the KCR Government after first damaging its image with his alleged
land grabbing.
Addressing a press conference at the Telangana Bhavan, BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar and TSPC deputy chairman B Vinod Kumar flayed Rajender for "dumping" the TRS and KCR even though the party had enabled the leader to establish himself as a politician.
"The TRS was like a mother to Rajender. In retune for the support the party and our CM gave him, he only deceived our party and our CM. Rajender is changing colours to slander the government and to deceive the BC community in his own segment. All this, after KCR treated the leader as a family member. How can he then dump the CM for his own selfish ends? We are proud members of the TRS and will not tolerate Rajender defaming our party," they said.
Kamlakar and Kumar also questioned the former minister about why he had "flouted all norms" and "grabbed" about 116 acres of assigned and patta lands for the expansion of his hatchery in Medak, and asked, "Why should Jamuna Hatcheries grab lands and bring a bad name to the TRS government and the chief minister?"
"By grabbing the lands of the government, the company has created confusion and has made people view our party in a bad light. No public representatives have the right to violate laws. Not only has Rajender violated the law of the land, he is now also making false charges against other TRS leaders," they added.
The two leaders stated that the law would take its own course, and would punish the erring leader and the company for the violation committed by them, and expressed their hope that the court would dispense justice by punishing the guilty.
