Train services on the Nellore-Chennai section were affected as a high tension wire snapped at Nelaballi in Doravarisatram mandal in Nellore district on Sunday.
According to South Central Railway sources, several express trains and passenger trains were running behind schedule, after the high tension wire snapped.
Officials have deputed a special team to repair the high tension power line. Following the incident, officials have been running trains on single route.
Navajeevan Express, Shalimar Express, Thiruvanthapuram Express were the trains running one hour behind schedule.
Officials have also rescheduled some express trains starting from Chennai and Tirupati stations.
