Nama Nageswara Rao Quits TDP For TRS, May Get Khammam
The former Khammam MP gave a jolt to the TDP by resigning from the membership of the party and the politburo post, and may get the TRS Khammam Lok Sabha ticket.
Former Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao today gave a jolt to the TDP by resigning from the primary membership of the party and the politburo post.
The TDP leader had already held discussions with TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and TRS Working President K T Rama Rao. He was trying to join either the ruling party or the Congress as he had decided that the TDP had no future in Telangana.
Nageswara Rao had contested for the Khammam Assembly seat on a TDP ticket and failed to win in the 2018 Telangana elections. Puvvada Ajay had won the election defeating Rao. Since then Rao had been keeping himself away from TDP affairs. He had reportedly called on KTR some time back and expressed his intention to join the TRS. However KCR declined his offer then. But now KCR reportedly gave the nod to Rao joining the TRS, and the latter is likely to get the TRS Khammam Lok Sabha ticket, according to information.
