Nagarjuna Sagar Crisis: Naidu Speaks With KCR
Chandrababu Naidu invited KCR for talks to find an amicable solution to the Telangana-AP water wars. Both CMs have agreed to meet at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao on the controversy over the sharing of the Nagarjuna Sagar dam water.
According to sources, Naidu spoke to KCR on Friday evening inviting him for talks to find an amicable solution to the controversy.
Both have agreed to meet at Raj Bhavan at 10 am on Saturday before Governor E S L Narasimhan.
Meanwhile, the situation remained tense at Nagarjuna Sagar with officials of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana trying to take virtual control over the dam.
The AP officials were prevented from entering the dam premises by their Telangana counterparts. There was a minor scuffle between the police personnel of both the states. (INN)
