Telugu movie actor Mohan Babu reacted to comments made by Pawan Kalyan urging the former's intervention in the ongoing controversy over the closure of theatres by the Andhra Pradesh government over the sale of online tickets.
In a tweet, Mohan Babu said that he would respond on the issue after the elections to the Movie Artists Association (MAA).
The elections are scheduled to be held on October 10.
Mohan Babu said that his son Manchu Vishnu was contesting for the post of the president of the association, and urged Pawan Kalyan to cast his vote in his son's favour in the elections.
Pawan Kalyan, citing the family ties of Mohan Babu with the family members of former CM Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, said that Mohan Babu should use his influence with the CM's family to help the industry on the issue.
He asked Mohan Babu to step up to not let the film industry people get harrassed, and said that the YSRCP government could harass him (Babu) too through his Vidya Niketan educational institutions in the same manner tomorrow, and there would be none from the industry to support him if he kept quite today.
