Mission Bhagiratha Works are in full swing, and safe drinking water would soon be distributed to all households in Telangana as planned by December 2017, Mission Bhagiratha engineer-in-chief Surender Reddy said.
In a media release on Friday, the engineer denied reports that the works would not be completed due to the sluggish pace. Under Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's directive, the works were going on at the planned pace, he promised.
He also said 35% of the contract payments for the project were paid and works were at being completed various levels. He said that the actual working season had just begun and double the amount of works were being completed already, he claimed.
The officials and staff were working day-in and day-out for to achieve the goal, he added.
