Finance Minister T Harish Rao and Home Minister Mahmood Ali today consoled the family members of Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of The Siasat Daily, who passed away yesterday after suffering a cardiac arrest while participating in the funeral procession of balladeer Gaddar.

The two ministers and MLC Kadiyam Srihari visited the residence of the late Khan at Lakdi-ka-Pul and consoled the family members.

On the occasion, the minister recalled Khan's services during the Telangana statehood struggle and for the growth of Urdu journalism.
