Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav today lambasted Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for "making a political speech" at the Republic Day celebrations held at the Raj Bhavan.
Reacting to the statement of Soundararajan that development did not mean just construction of buildings and farmhouses (referring perhaps to the new Secretariat and KCR's farmhouse), Yadav said that the Governor's speech was insulting to the spirit of democracy.
"It is not the fair on the part of the Governor to make political comments against the State government when holding a constitutional post. At least now she should stop working in favour of a political party, and bring dignity to her post," he said.
The minister also said that he would soon write a letter to President Droupadi Murmu over the "derogatory" style of functioning of the Governor, and would request the President to intervene in the matter.
