Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy today directed the concerned officials to expedite the completion of the works of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
The minister held a review meeting with the officials of the R&B department to discuss the progress of the construction works, and enquired about the status of the main temple complex, the presidential suite, the 13 proposed VVIP villas, the Pushkarini and the Kalyana Katta.
"Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is keen to turn Yadadri into a world class pilgrimage centre. You should be guided by the CM's vision for the temple, and develop it as a global spiritual destination," Reddy told the officials.
He instructed them to complete the work on the presidential suits and the 13 VVIP suites by end of the month, and to start developing the area in the vicinity of the temple keeping in mind the needs of the devotees.
"The construction of the Pushkarini and the Kalyana Katta should also be wrapped up at the earliest for the convenience of the pilgrims. And the surroundings of the temple complex must be developed as a verdant green belt, and must reflect the spirituality of the temple itself," he added.
The minister also issued instructions to Yadadri Bhuvanagiri Collector Anita Ramachandran to complete the land acquisition for the construction of the ring road leading to the temple, within a month.
Engineers-in-Chief Ganapathi Reddy and Vasant Naik, and Vasthu expert Sudhakar Teja were among the other officials who participated in the meeting.
As the works on the main complex of the Yadadri temple near completion, the state government has also initiated the process of setting up bus stations and depots in the district to enable devotees from different parts of Telangana to travel to the temple easily. Last month, Prashanth Reddy and Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar inspected the site proposed for construction of a bus terminal at Gandhi Cheruvu and the site for a proposed bus depot at Saidapur.
