Marketing and Warehousing minister M Mukesh Goud on Saturday admitted that there were irregularities in the construction works of several market yards in the state.
In his reply to a question raised by TDP MLAs D Narendra Kumar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and others during Question Hour, the minister said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau has submitted a report with regards to market yards in Guntur and Gudiwada.
Stating that the state government had identified four officials responsible for the irregularities, he said that disciplinary proceedings were being contemplated as deemed fit under the rules of conduct.
The minister also informed the House that of 11,110 works sanctioned since 2005, as many as 6,215 works in different market yards across the state have been completed, while 4,895 works are in progress. (INN)
