The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday made it clear that it would not interfere in the proposed 'Million March' planned in the city by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) and others on March 10th.
A Division Bench of the High Court stated that it is the duty of the government and the state police to act on marches, rallies and bandhs, while dealing with a writ petition filed by one Sambaraju Chakrapani of Warangal.
The Bench, comprising of Chief Justice Nissar Ahmad Kakru and Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar, stated that it would not issue any directions to anybody in this connection.
However, the Court made it clear that all persons are duty-bound to obey the laws framed for maintaining law and order.
The Bench asked the petitioner to file a petition if anybody violates the law and causes disturbance to any other person.
In his petition, Chakrapani had stated that the future of the students was at stake and the government had to take steps to protect them in the light of the 'Million March' by the Telangana Joint Action Committee on March 10th.

Million March does not mean bringing the city to a halt, it is a peaceful march to glorify the movement, a million people coming together making a united appeal expressing solidarity and strength for one cause that is Telangana. It might send jitters among few Andhra politicians, but the movement has gone into the people and when people rise up to the occasion nothing can stop the movement. If the Andhra people have any shame and self respect let them do a million march no one is stopping them.
